			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wow!  And I thought I disliked the previous one!  For those living under a rock, Google changed it&#8217;s favicon for the second time in about 6 months.  The first change is detailed here:</p>

<p>I can see that the reason I hated the first change is that it was a big departure from their established brand.  Grey and blue aren&#8217;t exactly their standard rainbow of primary colors.</p>
<p>With this second iteration, they bring back the rainbow.  And now I realize the real reason why I hate both designs.  It is the lower case, serif &#8220;g&#8221;.  To me, Google has always been &#8220;<strong>G</strong>&#8221; and not &#8220;<strong>g</strong>&#8220;.</p>
